Eliza Taylor and Marie Avgeropoulos have both landed roles on the pilot (The Hundred), a post-apocalyptic drama about 100 juvenile delinquents that are sent from the remnants of the multi-ringed space stations that are all that left of humanity to the surface of a wildly changed Earth as a test for recolonization. Taylor is set as Clarke (“smarter than she is pretty, but not by much”), their de facto medic who knows the truth behind their mission; while Avgeropoulos is on board as Octavia Black (“strikingly beautiful”), Bellamy’s (Bob Morley) illegally born sister. Director Bharat Nalluri and writer Jason Rothenberg are behind the Warner Bros. Television-based hour, which also stars Eli Goree and Henry Ian Cusick.
Lost alum Henry Ian Cusick has joined another drama project with sci-fi underlining, the CW pilot The Hundred. Based on Alloy books by Kass Morgan, the Warner Bros. TV-produced The Hundred is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization when the space station housing human survivors called the Ark sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Cusick, repped by Management 360, Innovative and attorney Jamie Feldman, will play Kane, an ambitious officer aboard the Ark who has his sights set on the Chancellor’s job. He co-starred on the first season of ABC’s Scandal and recurs in Body Of Proof and The Mentalist.
An Australian soap star and an Emily Owens, M.D. actor have landed lead roles in The CW’s The Hundred.
Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. The drama pilot is based on the forthcoming Little, Brown-published The Hundred book series by Kass Morgan.
Aussie Bob Morley, who starred in Home and Away and Neighbours, is set to play Bellamy, one of the delinquents — but five years older than the next-oldest — on the space station. He is described as manipulative, strong and crafty.
Eli Goree, who had a recurring role on the canceled Emily Owens, is staying put at The CW with the role of Wells Jaha, also one of the young delinquents on the space station. He is disliked by the others because many of their parents have been imprisoned — or worse — by Wells’ father, the chancellor of the space station.
